FATA Secretariat distributes compensatory cheques among flood victim

PESHAWAR, Aug 05 : Assistant Director FATA Relief Operation Hafeez Khan on Thursday said that FATA Secretariat issued cheques of Rs. 300,000 in cash to the families of those 38 tribals died in the flash flood in various areas of FATA and one lacs in cash to each 34 injured.
Assist Director Hafeez Khan, while talking to media persons, said that 538 tents were given to the flood-affected families and three trucks loaded with food stuff were dispatched to Khyber Agency, one truck packed with food items had also been sent to Mohamand Agency, he added.
The Assistant Director FATA said that food packets were also distributed among 300 families in Bajaur Agency while a free medical camp was also established in Tehsil Khar of the same agency to overcome the growing epidemics in the area after flood.
