Three C-130 carrying relief goods arrived in Quetta

QUETTA, Aug 16 : Let. Gen. Zia-ud-Din, Commander Southern Command, on Monday visited the flood-ravaged areas of Balochistan and directed the concerned authorities to expedite the relief activities and urged the effectees to register their families in the relief camps.

“Three C-130 aeroplanes had arrived in Quetta carrying food-items including drinking water, dates, clothes and other items of daily use which will be distributed among the flood-effected people of Balochistan,” ISPR sources said that food items would be dispatched to the flood-hit areas of Balochistan through trucks.

Gen. Zia-ud-Din visited Rohjan Jamali, Dera Allahyar, Dera Murad Jamali, Dadar and Sibi and also directed the concerned authorities to expedite relief efforts to the reach the stranded people soon.

During his visit, he advised the affected people to register their families in the relief camps established in Sibi and Quetta which will facilitate the relief camp officials to provide items without hesitation and also easy for the affected people to withdraw items from the camp.

The ISPR sources said that provincial government and the army officials jointly established five relief camps in Sibi, Nolang, Quettan, Dadar and Dera Murad Jamali to extend relief to the effected people.
