Seth Nisar accused in Bank of Punjab case arrested; hands over to NAB on remand

LAHORE, Aug 07: Another co-accused in the Bank of Punjab scam was arrested by the National Accountability Authority (NAB) officials here at Lahore on Saturday and produced before the Lahore High Court which handed over him remand for 20 days to NAB officials.

Sources said that an accused and proclaimed offender in the Bank of Punjab scam identified as Seth Nisar who was traced by the officials of NAB while he was talking on telephone reportedly this morning. The officials raided the traced place and arrested the accused.

NAB officials produced the accused in LHC and the court after hearing handed over him to the NAB officials on 20 days remand.

“The accused had been declared as proclaimed offender by the court of law in the Punjab bank scam,” official sources said.

“The detainee was a co-accused is involved in the scam revolving rupees 10 billion from the Bank of Punjab through corrupt practices,” officials of NAB said that investigation were in progress from the prime accuse Hamesh Khan in the fraud case.
