PPP to respond to PML-N after Jan 10th deadline: Babar Awan

LAHORE, Jan 07: Federal Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Babar Awan on Friday said that showering of rose petals over assassins of political figures was inculcated in the policy of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) which wishes to see political murders.
“We will respond to the saying of Punjab Law Minister after expiry of the PML-N’s deadline of 10th January which it had extended to the government,” Babar Awan said, adding that such deadlines should not be issued by anyone to anyone.
Talking to media person here at the residence of Provincial Minister Dr Tanveer-ul-Islam after offering Fateha Khawani for the departed soul of slain Governor Salman Taseer, Federal Minister Babar Awan said that PML-N Chief will have to answer the question that why President Islamabad Lawyers Forum Fazlur Rehman Niazi, who also belongs to PML-N garlanded the assassin of Salman Taseer at Rawalpindi court.
“Mian Nawaz Sharif should have to come with clear policy statement of his party that why his supporters garlanded the murderer of a political leader and constitutional head of a province,” the Federal Law Minister said.
Babar Awan lamented the inflammatory behavior of Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar of PML-N which he had adopted in the parliament and said that only a Ghazal is the answer of such inflammatory statements.
Babar Awan said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would not quit Punjab government, adding that if PML-N wanted to remove it then it can do so.
Referring to the assassination of Governor Punjab, he said Salman Taseer was a political dignity and his killing is also a political matter.
Babar Awan asserted that extra-judicial would not be allowed, adding that laws would be introduced for rule of law besides eradicating the menace of corruption.
