14 districts of Balochistan including Quetta facing acute load-shedding

QUETTA, Nov 23 : Long hours unscheduled load shedding in 14 districts of Balochistan including Quetta has added to the difficulties of the violence-hit people while KESKO officials has said that tower repair work is underway after its completion power supply shortage will be restored.
Bolan, Mastung, Khusdar, Noshki, Pashin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Ziarat, Zoab, Sherani and Quetta were facing acute shortage of power supply as load shedding hours were reported doubled recently, sources added on Wednesday.
KESKO officials said that one tower of Sibbi-Quetta 220KV main transmission line was destroyed by the miscreants as a result of which at least 42 Grid stations in Balochistan were affected and added to power shortage.
“Quetta and its suburbs were facing 4 to 6 hours load-shedding, districts headquarters were facing 12 hours load-shedding while rural areas remained in darkness for18 hours in a day,” KESKO officials added that tower repair work is underway which will be completed soon.
Locals demanded of the government to immediately redress their sufferings and ensure restoration of power supply to the affected areas on war-footing basis.
